Electricians & electrical contractors · Ireland

SEO for electricians.
Help customers find the work you actually do.

Your diary may be full of small call-outs while the rewires, installations or commercial jobs you want are going elsewhere. The starting point is deciding which work your website should bring in.

I’m Miad Ghazi, an independent SEO consultant. I help electrical businesses in Ireland improve their website and local search presence around the services and areas they genuinely cover.

The right searches

Electrical contractor SEO starts with your job mix

A homeowner with a fault, someone planning a rewire and a facilities manager choosing a contractor need different information. I map the services you offer to those searches before recommending new pages. “Electrician near me” is useful context; it is not a substitute for understanding what makes a suitable job.

Customer search exampleWhat the page needs to establishUseful next step
Emergency electrician + townActual coverage, operating hours and how to request availabilityA clear click-to-call route
House rewiring + countyProperty types, survey process, disruption and what the quote includesA survey or quotation enquiry
EV charger installationInstallations offered, assessment and verified eligibility information where relevantA request with property and installation details
Commercial electrical contractorTypes of premises, project scope, relevant credentials and maintenance arrangementsA project brief or discussion

Illustrative customer queries, not promises of search volume or rankings. We select your targets using current demand, local results and the work your team can deliver.

Website & Google Maps

A clear route from search to a suitable enquiry

Google Business Profile and service areas

I review business details, categories, services, opening hours, website links and the areas you actually serve. A contractor visiting customers should be represented accurately; adding a town to the profile does not guarantee visibility there. I also check whether profile and website information agree.

Service pages that answer buying questions

Domestic electrical work, fault finding, rewiring and commercial installations should not all disappear into a vague list. I identify where a separate page is useful, what it should explain and where it belongs in the navigation. You approve technical details and credentials before publication.

Technical SEO and mobile contact paths

I check indexing, canonicals, redirects, internal links and how important pages render. On mobile, a customer needs to find your coverage and contact options without fighting the menu. I test phone links and enquiry paths alongside page performance.

Evidence customers can check

Real project photos, relevant reviews and accurate qualifications help people assess your business. For Irish contractors, a genuine Safe Electric registration can be linked for verification when applicable. I never add registrations, accreditations or emergency availability that you have not confirmed.

This work applies local SEO to the electrical trade. Where crawling, templates or a redesign are the main problem, a technical SEO audit may come first.

An illustrative example

A contractor wants more rewires, not more late-night calls

Imagine a small electrical business covering a defined area around Cork. Its homepage leads with “24-hour electrician”, but the owner wants planned domestic projects and does not provide a round-the-clock service. This is a planning example, not a client result.

01 · Define the offer

Confirm the work

Agree the service radius, property types and available capacity. Remove availability claims the team cannot fulfil.

02 · Build the route

Explain the survey

A rewiring page describes the assessment, information needed for a quotation and genuine project examples. Relevant pages link to it.

03 · Check the outcome

Review enquiry quality

Compare search queries and landing pages with recorded enquiries. Distinguish a tap on the phone number from an answered call and an accepted quote.

A useful location page adds real coverage information and evidence. I would not copy the same text into dozens of town pages or create profiles for addresses where you do not operate.

Scope & deliverables

You receive priorities your team can use

A documented starting point

A review of search visibility, competing pages, the profile and website issues within the agreed scope. Findings separate confirmed problems from ideas that need more evidence.

A service and keyword map

A page plan showing which services and search intentions belong together. It identifies existing pages to improve, genuine gaps and opportunities that do not justify another page.

Content and implementation instructions

Page outlines or agreed copy, internal-link recommendations, technical tasks and a list of business details for you to approve. Writing, development and uploading responsibilities are stated in the proposal.

A measurement plan

A baseline and review schedule for Search Console, relevant Business Profile interactions and enquiries, using the data and tracking you have available.

I work directly with you or your existing web designer. You do not need to replace a functioning website to start. Ongoing content work is useful when it supports actual services and customer questions; a fixed blog quota is not the goal.

GEO & AI search

Make your electrical business easier to understand

Some customers ask AI tools to compare local contractors or explain what to consider before booking. I can review a defined sample of questions and whether your business information is clear and consistent across the website, profile and relevant listings.

Useful work includes clear service descriptions, named business details, verifiable credentials and concise answers supported by your experience. Structured data describes that visible information; it does not create a qualification or guarantee a recommendation. Sampled AI mentions are reported separately from visits and enquiries.

For Google’s AI features, there is no special AI schema requirement. The SEO fundamentals still apply. A broader GEO review, including platforms and repeat checks, can be agreed as part of the scope.

How we work

Agree the priorities before adding more pages

  1. 01

    Discuss your business

You share the website, service area and jobs you want more of. We establish what your team can take on.

  2. 02

    Review the evidence

I assess the agreed website and profile, search demand and local competitors. We choose the work with a clear purpose.

  3. 03

    Make and check changes

Copy and technical tasks go to the agreed owner. Your business validates electrical claims; I check the SEO implementation.

  4. 04

    Review enquiries

We compare periods with capacity, seasonality and recent changes in mind. Rankings alone do not tell us whether the work is worthwhile.

Costs and timing

The fee depends on the site, service areas, pages to improve and implementation support. A focused review and ongoing SEO are different scopes. You receive the activities, deliverables and costs before work begins. Delivery dates depend on access and approvals; search results have no guaranteed deadline.

A first conversation helps define the project. It is not a promise of a free full audit. Paid advertising, profile reinstatement, photography and web development are not automatically included.

FAQ

Questions about SEO for electricians

Do you work with sole-trader electricians?

Yes. The scope can focus on a small website, a Google Business Profile and a few priority services. The plan should suit your service area, capacity and budget rather than assume you need a large site.

Can you target both domestic and commercial electrical work?

Yes. I assess the searches, information and enquiry process for each. Separate pages can help when the services and buying questions differ; they are not created just to repeat keywords.

Can you help with EV charger installation searches?

Yes, if it is a service you provide. We review relevant searches and competing pages, then clarify the assessment, service scope and enquiry process. You approve technical, registration and scheme-related claims before publication.

Do I need a page for every town?

No. Location pages should reflect real coverage and provide useful local information. We assess existing pages and search intent before expanding. A list of town names alone does not justify dozens of pages.

Can you guarantee Google Maps rankings or AI recommendations?

No. I can agree the work, checks and reporting, but I cannot control Google rankings or the recommendations of an AI system. We assess relevant visibility alongside genuine enquiries.

Are you based in Ireland?

I am based in Milan and work online with electrical businesses in Ireland. Meetings and project communication are remote. I do not claim an Irish office.

What should I send for the first conversation?

Your website, the areas you serve and the jobs you want to prioritise. If we agree to proceed, access to relevant tools is arranged through named invitations. Do not send passwords through the contact form.

Which jobs should your website bring in?

Send me your website and service area, and tell me where the current enquiries fall short. We can work out whether the first priority is your profile, existing pages or a technical issue.
